Executive Producer,
Keith C. Perry
Keith has been playing instruments since before he was 10. The facination with music developed as
he watched he father take organ lessons when he was young. Coupled with the opportunities
provided by New York City's public school system Keith, by the time he was in high school, was
starting to write his own songs. It was at this time his love of Soul, Funk and
Hip-Hop was joined with a new found love for Jazz. Though various bands, including
his own group called "Divine Unity", Keith once had the honor of meeting Milton Hinton (Count Basie's bass player) at
a Jazz program. Mr. Hinton later invited Keith and other members of his band to come play at
Carmichael's- a Queens restaurant that on certain evenings turned into a jazz club. It was an
experience that he fondly remembers and easily explains his love for the "jam session". These
early experiences provided the foundation for Keith's style- a canvas of smooth and crisp beats
blended with dense chord structures. For Studio K Productions, Keith is a producer for
Jazz, Soul, R&B and House projects. He also is head engineer at main SKP's recording studio.
Executive Producer, Woodley St.
Germain
Woodley or "Wood" as most people call him, was influenced by everyone from Pete Rock to Dr. Dre to
DJ Premier. Wood was definitely the kid banged beat out on lunch room tables when he was young and
living through the evolution of Hip-Hip. Over the year the lunch room table evolved into a
drum machine, keyboard, computer and last we checked a bass guitar. For Wood, the beat is
what drives the track. For Studio K Productions, Wood is a producer for Hip-Hop, House, R&B,
Soul and Spoken Word projects. He is also the head engineer at one of SKP's associate recording
studios- Woodworks Music.
